Facial Spider Veins / Rosacea

Small or large facial spider veins occur as the result of the aging process and/or sun exposure. Some ethnic backgrounds are more predisposed to the development of facial spider veins; namely those of northern European decent. Minimizing sun exposure and protecting yourself from the sun (sunscreen, hats) is the easiest way to prevent the further development of additional spider veins.

Treatment includes a laser procedure that is performed during an office visit. The facial skin will be slightly braised or blotchy for 7-10 days but can be covered with a light application of makeup. The treatment is very effective. The occasional patient with moderate to severe involvement may need more than one treatment.

Versa Pulse Laser is also very effective for the treatment of acne rosacea and its associated blush and facial vascularity.

Spider veins and acne rosacea can be treated with a lower laser setting resulting in virtually no down time, however, 2-3 treatments may be needed to acheive the desired results.

Smaller leg veins can be very effectively treated using the versapulse laser as well.
