Chemical Peels

Renew skin, minimize wrinkles and pigmentation changes (Age Spots)

The treatment of facial skin using chemical peels has been used for many years in the field of dermatology. In the 1990s, many physicians discontinued the art of chemical peels in favor of laser resurfacing. Although Dr. Sedwick still recommends laser resurfacing in many cases, he has returned to a milder form of peeling as the treatment of choice for patients primarily affected by sun damage, uneven pigmentation, and fine wrinkling. Dr. Sedwick is achieving better results with a faster recovery period than previously possible with laser resurfacing. TCA Chemical peeling is performed in the office, takes about one hour, and has a recovery period of about 7 to 10 days.

In addition Dr. Sedwick offers superficial or lunch time chemical peels in the office as well. These peels have very little down time and allow the patient to return to work after the peel is completed.
